Level 2 Award for Door Supervisors in the Private Security Industry

General Information

This 6 day course provides the necessary skills and qualification necessary to undertake a career as a licenced Door Supervisor (subject to SIA licensing conditions).  You will undertake a course of training that includes topics such as, Working in the Private Security Industry, Working as a Door Supervisor, Conflict Management and Physical Intervention.

On successful completion of this course, you may apply to the SIA to obtain a licence which allows you to work in the Private Security Industry (subject to SIA licensing conditions).

Duration

8 hours home study (distance learning – materials supplied)

6 days face to face learning (44 hours)

Pre-requisites

Must be 18 years of age

Physically able to conduct physical intervention skills (call if unsure)

Have completed and passed an emergency first aid at work course (or equivalent)

English language to Level 1 (or equivalent)

Assessment

You will undertake a number of assessments to complete your qualification.  These include:

Practical statement writing assessment

Practical searching assessment

Practical use of communications devices assessment

Practical conflict management and physical intervention assessments

Multiple choice exams in working in the private security industry, working as a door supervisor, conflict management and physical intervention
